Our approach begins with a careful layered response and detailed site assessment, during which contaminants are identified, hazards are evaluated, and appropriate next steps are determined.

During the initial site evaluation and remediation process, our team systematically assesses belongings and structures to determine what is waste and requires safe disposal — including items with non-salvageable contamination or damage; what can be cleaned and preserved — based on condition, material, and client instruction; what is a potential biohazard — requiring specialized handling, decontamination, and documentation; and what items may have value to the occupant, family, or trustee — which are set aside, tagged, and made available for viewing or decision-making.

This assessment and categorization help ensure that personal property and structural features are treated according to their condition and the customer’s priorities before deep cleaning and final disinfection begin.

Once contaminants are removed or remediated and belongings have been categorized and addressed, Pacific Decontamination Services performs deep cleaning and final disinfection to address residual contamination, fine particulate matter, surface soiling, and microbial concerns. This final-stage service is intended to reduce risk of re-contamination, improve indoor conditions, and bring the space to the level of cleanliness and hygiene required by the client.

We work closely with the customer to define the appropriate scope, recognizing that in many cases certain areas, materials, or finishes may be scheduled for removal, replacement, rebuilding, or repainting. In these situations, those areas may not require cleaning to a 'move-in ready' standard, allowing efforts and costs to be focused on spaces that will remain in place.

Services may include detailed, top-to-bottom cleaning of affected areas using methods appropriate to the environment and materials involved, such as HEPA-detail vacuuming, damp wiping of hard surfaces, targeted cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, trim, ledges, and other high-contact or dust-collecting surfaces. Final disinfection is then performed on applicable surfaces using professional-grade products and application methods suited to the site conditions. Where required, finishing odour control or air treatment may also be incorporated as part of the final stage.

The scope of deep cleaning and final disinfection is job-specific and may range from functional cleaning to a higher 'move-in ready' standard. This service is offered as an additional, separately quoted component and may be coordinated with other qualified trades when repairs or specialized services fall outside the scope of cleaning and disinfection.
